Making kouaua

Since Ms Tito said that we are going to start pay day, for when we do good jobs. Some of Room 19 had gotten pay day but hadn't been having pay day for a week. Then Ms Tito said we will then just make koauau. Then we sat on the mat and started making both sides round like this. 

  
 Then Ms Tito told us to make Zig-Zag lines on the top side middle of the koauau. Then we put dabs of water on top of the Zig-Zag lines and put it together.  We got a little flat bat and hit it in shape. We shined it with a spoon then we wrapped it up and put it away to carve into it to the next day.

Tuakana Teina ( Big brothers or sister or friends reading with little brother or sister)

Every week on Tuesday in the afternoon Room 19 have been doing Tuakana Teina in the library which means, big brothers or sisters or friends reading, with little brothers or sisters or friends.

 Through the past few weeks we have been partnering up choosing a book and reading to each other. Then we get more books and read more. What I like about reading to my partner is that we get to know each other and how good we are at reading. Then Ms Tito tells to pack our books away and come sit on the mat. 

Our school picnic

On a windy and cloudy day our whole school went  on a picnic we all had to walk all the way to Point England beach and to the reserve. When we got there Mr Burt had told us the rules. When Mr Burt had finished we got to go and play before I went I found a great place for my bag before I went I had a mallow puff.Then I took my shoes off and put them in my bag and went walking on the beach.

While I was walking I saw people with clay I had asked how they had the clay and they said "if you go down there the're some rocks and you get one and wet it and squash it you can make it in to clay and it will be soft". So I went and did that and it worked I was playing with the clay then got bored of it when I was playing with it I got dirty so I gave my clay to someone else. While I was playing someone had kicked their ball into the beach and a man went in with his glasses on and he grabbed the ball and when he came out his glasses were in the water. This boy asked where are your glasses and he said its in the ocean. When he went up to the games the tides went and I was looking for shells and found his glasses and I ran up to the games and looked for him and I asked if anyone saw him and they said no and I kept looking and I found him and then he said thanks. I felt really happy that day.

I told a teacher and she said i'm a hero then it was the end of the day and then we cleaned up and went to class and went home.

One couple on the very hot desert

One day a couple went on a honeymoon they were going to Hawaii. But they were so concentrated on their family and how they would miss them so they went on the wrong plane. When they got on the plane the fell asleep that plane was headed for Egypt. But the plane crash on desert and no one survived but the couple did. Soon they woke up just knowing the plane had crashed in the desert. Then they knew that they are stranded in the middle of the desert. They found the luggage's in the plane they grabbed as much as they could. So then they looked through the luggage's and found a map. They saw that Egypt was one thousand kilometers away, so they grabbed some things they’ll need, and emptied a bag, and put the things in. They had two bags full and they started walking it was starting to get dark. So they wrapped themselves with some extra warm clothes and kept going to get to Egypt. Then they found some camels and looked if there was anyone there but there was no one. Then the sun came out and they took their extra clothes off and jumped on the camels and went, then they thought found Egypt and jumped off the camels and ran to the abandoned city and no one was there so they looked at their map and found Egypt was 2 kilometers away and they were lost for 20 days. They cried and kept going and really found Egypt and was so happy.
